Using two video cards in a Windows XP system

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it's possible to use two video cards from different manufacturers in a single system? I'm currently using a GF4 Ti4200 AGP card with dual monitors, but now I'd like to add a 3rd monitor using a Matrox G200 PCI card. Does anyone have any experience with this, or know if this type of configuration can even work? Thanks in advance!

You can definitely do it - I'm using a GF4 ti4600AGP with another PCI video card (can't remember which one). It's no big deal with XP. Just plug in the new card, fire up the monitor to it, and boot up. XP will take care of almost everything, and then you can adjust the resolution and bit-depth at your convenience.
