Anybody can tell me something about Matrox Parhelia?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I'm sure you can guide me through this eventually by tellin me where to look. I'm struggling with the everlasting story about the videoboard with the best quality/price performance. I was thinking about the chance (but recently I have seen the price!!! I never realize it was so high) to buy the Matrox Parhelia (maybe due to the chance of having three monitors without having three computers). Did some of you have had experience with this board? Can you eventually indicate to me some posts to check this board? In Italy the Parhelia is rated 428 dollars and I think that if the performance are not so higher than a GEForce 4 TI4200 (or 4400-4600) the price is not worthy. Can you please guide me out of the battle?Thank you in advanceMichael, Italy

Don't get the matrox it's really not worth the money. The best video card on the market is the ATI 9700 Pro. Here's an article on Toms Hardware.com regaridng the Matrox card.http://www6.tomshardware.com/graphic/02q2/020625/index.html

Thanks man for the advice. It has been useful to see at the link you mentioned the benchmark.Michael, Italy

But if you are not in a hurry and got some big $$ to spend,,,wait 1,2 months and GeForceFX will be out.

Hi Georgi and thanks. On the same link to Toms hardware I read about the GEforceFX and sounds great even though expensiveMichael, Italy
