Hi, Rob -I'm tempted, but how are things at low level? Especially on approach?Think I read somewhere that the scenery is optimised for above 2,000 ft, and gets grotty below that.Plus, how about on the ground? Say I'm parked at UK 2000 Part 5's wonderfully detailed Booker, does it get degraded at all?Apologies for yet more questions, but at the moment user feedback is scarce!

I must admit, I am quite impressed although a little peeved that some of the main rivers are bitmaps and not water you can land on. My local airport is Humberside (EGNJ) and I flew north towards my home city of Hull. I was disappointed that the Humber estuary was part of the bitmap and thefore could not land on it (in a sea plane of course!). The Humber Bridge was also duplicated.I wonder if something could be done about it?Regards,Darren

I'm very impressed, and have been enjoying landing the Piper Archer on some of the non-default airfields. I find that having a good road map alongside helps a lot. I use the Phillips one at 1 1/2 miles to the inch. I also use the Lago Terramesh scenery, as I think it's a bit more detailed than the Just Flight effort. Also I find the view is OK down to about 1500' above ground, especially in the country. In any case, when on approach, it's eyes front, concentrating on the instruments and the runway, so no need to be too concerned about the scenery.Pity about the Humber Bridge. I think that's Just Flight's problem, as they arranged the software to accommodate the default airfields and a few 3D structures. It's just that the bridge is wrongly placed. Hope a patch is issued to correct it. Also the Lago terramesh doesn't seem to be right around Dover, putting the cliffs in the wrong place, and I found a few really deep holes in the mesh in Lincolnshire.Just for fun tonight I "drove" the Bizjet along the M2 in Kent. A bit bumpy, but was able to follow the motorway for quite a few miles, then accelerated and took off. Now looking forward to the rest of the product.

Just another thought: I have long been impressed with the GetMapping project apart from flight sim considerations, and a couple of months ago was delighted to see the published photographic atlas of England in the bookshops. The pages covering much of the open country are very small scale, however (1:18000); only the major towns and cities are enlarged. Even so, the book is very cumbersome. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the CD version is at the same large scale throughout, and using the top-down + and - view is really astonishing. Even for those just interested in looking at Britain it's worth every penny in my opinion, taking into account all the costs involved in bringing it to production.
