I currently have a Compaq Presario desktop: AMD 1 gig Athalon, 256mb ram, and a GeForce 2 Pro 64mb vid card. Since it only has a 1 gig processor I want to up the performance to it's realistic limits by increasing the ram to 512 mb, and putting a little better vid card in it. It runs most games fine with most of them at max detail, but I'm looking for that last little oomph short of getting a new system. My question is should I put in the fastest GF3, or go with the low end (not MX version) of the GF4?What do you think?Tim13

Get a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64MB. It's the best bang for the buck. You won't regret it. When you get a new system you can take the card with you. :)
