Upgrading a Laptop-O/T

Featured Replies

Sup Dudes, Ok,I have 2 Pc's at the moment, the 'BIG' one which I'm using now-specs below and one in my Bedroom. I built that one from Scratch and it works fine. Now for my problem,I have offered to Swap the PC in my room for a Laptop, which from what I hear is quite out of Date. I want to upgrade it. I already have a 20GB HD(ATA),I'm sure when I find the specs I can purchase a new Processor. The problem is,I'm am pretty much a :-newbie when it comes to Laptops. Are they hard to upgrade? Any Websites where I could get info on the subject? I cant for the life of me find a source on the subject-the way I see it,you can by individual parts-you can open em,you open em you can upgrade em ;)RegardsJohn Mc AvinueEINN/BAV 855Senior captainhttp://www.bavirtual.co.ukP 2.53 GHZ512 RAMWINXPGFORCE 4 128MB Ti4600

Hey Man, I've been in the laptop business for over 10 years now, selling, repairing, upgrading, programming, you name it...drop me a line on this address [email protected] and tell me what you need to know. Will explain everything in detail. Don't forget to mention the brand and model of the laptop. Laptops are very hard to upgrade!!!!(i.e.: CPU...Ram & HD are the usual plug 'n play on most machines)AlexLMML
