Hi,In the coming months I want to upgrade my PC. To spread the costs I decided to upgrade what is most necessary right now.I am thinking of the following options:1.) Upgrade my AMD Athlon 1300 to a AMD XP 2100+2.) Upgrade the 512 Mb SDRAM to DDR RAM.Can somebody advise me which of the above options will give me the biggest boost for the moment. Thanks,GeraldThe rest of my setup:Windows XP Pro, DX8.1Geforce 4 Ti4200 (41.09 NVIDIA drivers), 128 Mb (dual monitor setup)Soundblaster AudigyCH Products Flightsim YokeACP compact (I use Key2mouse to get it working with the dreamfleet panel in FS2002)

Gerald, The cpu would be good for the first. You might want to check your mother board manufacturer to see if it will take the upgrade. I had to upgrade the mobo to go from a 1400 to a 2100 AMD. Here is a link to multiwave. Never had a problem with any order or product.http://direct.mwave.com/mwave/index.hmx

2.) Upgrade the 512 Mb SDRAM to DDR RAM.Does your motherboard accept both SDR and DDR Ram? The reason why I ask is because I don't remember seeing a mobo with both.

Thank you both for your reply. The score is now 1-1 for both options, so I still cannot choose. Does anybody else have suggestions?Gerald

I would boost the CPU
