hi!my current system specs are as follows:amd athlon xp 1800+ with fsb overclocked to 140mhz (1900+)soltek mobo w/ via kt266a chipset512 mb crucial ddr 266 ramasus gf4 4400120gb disk (40+80, fs sits on the 80gb drive) ibm udma100 7200 rpmwin xp pro sp1, direct x 9i run the following programs along with fs2k2 pro:activesky wxrefsflightmaxfsacarsirfanviewfsnavigatormy main doubt is whether to buy a new mobo with mp support and another athlon xp 1800+, or go for a sp mobo and get an athlon xp 2400+. i believe that with all those programs running, a second processor would help things run smoother, but on the other hand so could the extra horsepower on the 2400+. or not? i am not considering going for intel, as i think they are quite expensive when compared with amd's (i know i'm probably missing something good in hyperthreading, but...); is hyperthreading really worth the extra cash?i also plan to get another 512mb of crucial 266 ddr ram, as 333 is stil quite expensive.on another note, i ran 3dmark benchmarks and then compared the results with others from similar specs, and my results were in the last 1/3. can i be doing something awfully wrong, as i believe my hw is quite good?thanks in advance, pedro

Your system is quite good. What OS are you running? Hyperthreading is only available in XP home, Pro and Linux. I would personally wait until Hyperthreading CPU's go down in price. The 3.06GHz intel chip is still quite costly. Hyper threading should help out a bit, Tomshardware.com had some good reviews on the Hyperthreading and the difference it makes.
