March 2, 200323 yr CPU speed and graphics card speed and RAM aren't everything. In fact, without a motherboard, RAM, and other components that can keep up the fastest CPU and GPU are completely useless.A good system is a system that's well ballanced. A 3GHz CPU in a motherboard that can only make effective use of it at half that speed is no better than a 1.5GHz CPU on that same motherboard.a GF4Ti4600 with 128MB RAM won't give you any better performance than your old GF2Pro when you are running a P3-700 with 128MB RAM.New superfast memory won't do squat when your motherboard can't write and read it at that speed or your CPU can't provide the motherboard with data fast enough. So take the time to find out what components go together well to get optimal performance instead of selecting the fastest CPU and most expensive videocard only to find out you have money left for only the cheapest of motherboards and RAM.
