Shane, Before I got rid of it I was running my Gainward 4200 @ 305/600.Just slowly bump it up till you start to get visual anomalies and than back it down a bit.

Thanks Bobby.I was going to bump it up to 265/525.

You're OK with that Shane. Almost any 4200 can safely run the 4400 clock speeds of 275/550. Mine lets go a little sooner than Bobbie's did. I start to see problems at 285/590 but it will sometimes run clean as high as 290/600. As Bobbie said, just back it off a bit when things start to look wrong (you'll know when that is) and you should be fine.Trip

I clocked it up to what you suggested trip, and i started to notice anomalies like Bobby said, So I backed it off to 250/500 and now they are still there, could I possibly damaged the card? :'(

HelloIf I may go a wee bit off topic here. I noticed you arerunning an Asus A7N8X and a SoundBlaster 16 PCI.On Tom's Hardware they tested a bunch of sound cardsand onboard sound chipsets. They were looking atgame frame rates and how different audio systems helpedor hurt rates. The onboard A7N8X audio chipset beateverything it sight by a good margin.Sorry if I strayed off topic.DaHoov

Hey thats good info! I may try that, but are they thinking of the deluxe? The 100% Main reason I didnt buy a deluxe is all the places I went said they are CPU fryers.

I doubt that the card's damaged from running 275/550. But all mileage is variable. How long did it run OC'd? It sounds like a memory problem. Who made the card and how old is it?Trip

I ran it for about 15 minutes OC'd.I bought this card in May.03, and PNY makes it.

What are you seeing on the screen that doesn't look right Shane? There's always the possibillity the card had a marginal (defective) memory chip and it just got pushed over the edge. If so, better to find out now with a fresh warranty as it would ultimately fail anyway.Trip

>I may try that, but are they thinking of the deluxe? Are they not using the same audio chipset?>The 100% Main reason I didnt buy a deluxe is all the places I>went said they are CPU fryers.I have never heard that. As far as I have read the A7N8X is noworse than other AMD boards. Un-overclocked, some boards run a coupleof degrees hotter for some reason but your Athlon XP cpu lists90C as the "cooked" point. I am running one of the hottest Athlonsthe 2200+ and I have no trouble keeping it between 48C-52C whileusing FS2K2.DaHoov
