April 26, 200323 yr Hello all, I'm interested in buying a cheap sound card to use simply for the roger wilco communications. I don't even need to transmit out of it, just to hear the RW ATC with VATSIM. I'll still have my regular card for the FS2002 sounds and transmitting over RW if necessary. I just want something very inexpensive that'll work with Windows XP!Thanks,MarcMarc Gibsonhttp://www.freewebs.com/flightsimcfi/http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg
April 27, 200323 yr Get a ESS AudioDrive. They are very cheap and I have been using them for years now (using a ES1938 right now). Audio quality is great (both playback and recording) for such a basic card.
April 27, 200323 yr I'm a stickler for creative labs, so their least expensive offering would be a SB Live! for around 30-35 dollars, or the OEM Audigy for around 60-70.
April 27, 200323 yr I don't know if $40 is way over you bundget but Santa Cruz is for $40 this week in Circuit City I think.I've had it for year and half and totally love it, I'm so glad I ditched Creative.
April 27, 200323 yr Thanks guys for the ideas!-MarcMarc Gibsonhttp://www.freewebs.com/flightsimcfi/http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg
