I just got my first 19inch Monitor. When I run games in 1280x1024 I can't get the pictureto fill the full width of the screen. Is this norm with 19inch monitors?

You'll have to adjust the picture width & height on the monitor using the buttons on the front of the monitor for each resolution. While you at it, set the brightness and contrast to you're liking.

Get a monitor utility like nokia.zip, pay special attention to the brightness and contrast settings. Many people overadjust these and get a washed out look. If your brightness is too high, you will not be able to display true black.http://www.freepctech.com/rode/004.shtmlKurt M

Yeah thanks Kurt, looks good.Yeah Bigshot, I have the width setting as far as it will go.

Change around the refresh rate a bit and find optimal one, this might work.
