May 16, 200323 yr I'm planning to get a LCD monitor and I noticed that the only domain where there are huge variations is the response time (ranges from 15 to 32 ms). What's the impact on FS, holding the video card constant? Anybody knows?? Thanks.
May 16, 200323 yr I recently bought a Planar PX171M (one of the newer 15 ms response units). I'm very happy with it. I haven't noticed any of the LCD artifacts in FS. There is some smearing if I scroll the screen fast (in Internet Explorer, for example), but nothing in FS. As a bonus the guages are much more readable (as compared to my old 17" CRT) as is text in general. I would say if you do it, get one of the 15 ms response units, just to be sure.
May 16, 200323 yr PS - Make sure you buy it from a place that has a decent return policy (no penalties/restocking fees). That way there really isn't any risk if you don't like it for some reason.

I'm on the market for a LCD screen myself and I was surprised to see in a shop that a 500:1 ratio (Samsung 172T) makes a lot of difference compared to the usual 400 or 350:1- and the viewing angle, nothing less than 160
