May 24, 200323 yr Hello everyone, I just installed the 40.52 drivers for my GF3. They work great but my text in FS appears all blurry and it used to be crisp. Can anyone help me out here, I have riva tuner if anything needs changing?Cheers.Alex.
May 24, 200323 yr HiIf I remember rightly there's an option in the Geforce tweak program to sort this sorta thing out.Nice to see someone close to home in Egham :-wave
May 25, 200323 yr It may be because you have anisotropic filtering set to 2 x or higher. To resolve this you need to use a driver set at least 42.30 or later.
May 25, 200323 yr Cheers but I have antisoptric filtering turned off. I heard the 40.52 drivers were the best for my card, if I had to get 42.30 or later what specific drivers would it be to mimic the 40.52s I am on.And Tom, how did you know I live in Egham? Maybe we could meet up. :)Cheers.Ali.
May 25, 200323 yr I can't really say there is an "equivalent" to the 40.52 drivers, as Nvidia seems to do something slightly different with each set. I'm a bit stumped about your problem - I've only ever known it to happen when AF is enabled. I take it then you also do not have "Texture Sharpening" enabled in the Nvidia Control Panel applet do you? (Texture sharpening adds 2 x AF to whatever AF setting you currently use. So AF off + Texture Sharpening = 2x AF. 2 x AF + Texture Sharpening = 4 x AF, etc).Other than that I'm aware of some issues running 16 bit colour, but they don't really emulate the problems you mention. So apart from what I've mentioned, I can't think what the cause of your problem could be. Perhaps you might want to go into the registry and clear out all your registry entries under ....nvidiaD3D and re-input your desired D3D video settings via the control panel applet once again.
May 25, 200323 yr Get the Atuner from www.guru3d.com and turn the mipmap bias to minus 1(-1) this will sort it outCheers Richiehttp://216.40.249.192/s/contrib/sarge/Tomcat.gif[/img]SystemAsus a7s333 motherboard- onboard sound c-media1024 meg pc2700 333ddr ram (the ram is now running at 266mz to match the bus speed of the CPU, this has given me a performance boost of 500 3d marks on 3D MARK 2001SE build 330)ASUS V8420-TD GeForce 4 Ti 4200 128MEG 4X AGP (Running at 270/570 agpx4)AMD Athlon XP 2 Gig Processor running at 1667 mhzMaxtor 5400rpm 40gig hard driveMaxtor 7200rpm 40gig hard drive (FS2002 15.6gig and counting)Dell (sony)19" P990 Pure Flat Triniton 1600x1200x75hz Windows XP ProNvidia 43.51 Drivers (Today!)Windows XP Pro (SP1)DX9a3D MARK 2001SE SCORE 9879 (with 43.51
