Users of win98se and gf-4-4600 - what drivers are you using and did u go to dx9 ?

Featured Replies

Right now I have stuck with 29.80, but am wonderingif there are better ones for the geforce 4s.Also are you on DX8.x or did you move to DX9Thanks,MRC

I'm using the 42.30 drivers for Direct 3D titles such as FS. I use the 30.82 driver dll for OpenGL applications (such as IL2).The 42.30 drivers, although not available from Nvidia's site, are actually WHQL certified, but of course this will only show up if you are running WinME or later. I got the drivers from www.guru3d.com.I have done a lot of testing of drivers and I wanted the drivers that offered the best and smoothest image quality with the best colour balance and saturation. Everything is subjective, but these drivers simply look best to my eyes when running FS2002 on my monitor.I'm also running DX 9.0a.
