Windows XP issues?

Featured Replies

I am thinking of upgrading WIndows ME with Windows XP as i`m fed up with all the issues and lockups which i seem to get with Windows ME. I heard with XP you can only have it on one computer. If i install it on my hardrive and decide one day to buy a new motherboard and move everything across (hard drives, cards, memory etc) to the new motherboard would this cause any issues? Its just a lot of money to splash out on an operating system which you can only use on the one computer.

You can buy it, and only put it on one computer. The catch is, if you do a HW upgrade, you can still install XP on your new computer. You would have to call up M$ and get your copy reactivated(IIRC) with your new HW, but that isn't a big deal.> Its just a lot of money to splash out on an operating>system which you can only use on the one computer.I think it is an obsene amount of money to pay for an OS.
