June 26, 200322 yr HiHope someone can spread some light on this...Suddenly my computer has stated saying, when I start FS, that 'Safe mode has beed enabled because your system is unable to use hardware acceleration'.I dont understand why - there has never been a problem. I run P4 2.4ghz, 1012mb Ram, and use a ATi Radeon 9700Pro with 128mb ram. My motherboard is a Asus P4S8X with the option of 8xAGP....I cant find out how to get the system to enable Hardware Acceleration again in FS - and without it is impossible to fly smooth....What should I do - what can I do?Any help is welcome. And appreciated!! Thanks, Walle.
June 26, 200322 yr Rename the main FS2002 cfg file. Let the sim build a new one. That's the first thing I'd try.
June 26, 200322 yr Hi Bigshot - Thanks for your reply:-)But what do you mean with renaming the FS2002?And how do I do it?Walle - getting more and more confused... just want to fly:-)
June 26, 200322 yr I got this problem and when I checked the display properties for the Radeon "alternate DVI mode" (or something like that - my translation :-)) was checked. I didn't check it so I have no idea why. I unchecked it, restarted the computer, and everything was normal again.Regarding renaming the FS2002.cfg file: In your FS2002 there is a file called FS2002.cfg. It's a text file that includes all your FS2002 settings (display settings, key commands etc.). If FS2002 doesn't find the FS2002.cfg on startup it creates a new one with default settings. That is what will happen if you rename or delete FS2002.cfg.Martin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing
