New PC

Featured Replies

Hi!I want to buy a new PC, especially for my FS2002. My idea is:Asus P4P800P4 2.8 HTKingston RAM 2 x 256 MB DDR400 PC3200Radeon 9700 ProWin XP ProCan anyone give me an advice, if this is a good choice?I heard that I should run FS2002 on a separate OS without any additional installations in order to have a better performance. Is it true? Thanks a lot for quick reply, as I want to order soon.Lucky

Lucky,Throw in a nice 80 Gig Western Digigtal JB Drive and you'll have yourself a TOP notch system. As for running FS on a different OS ?? Do you mean different drive?. I have my copy of FS on it's own 40 gig JB Drive. My OS (WinXPPro) Is on an 80 Gig JB w all my other Apps.Hope this helps.Bobby

Bobby,Thanks a lot for your comment.I was told to install two XP Systems on my PC (C: and D:). The idea is that the second system should only run FS2002 and not the ton of other applications in the background making the system slower. I planned to use my 120 GB for everything, so both systems plus the FS2002 on the same hard disk (but different partitions of course).Do you think, it could make the game faster, if the application would be installed on another hard disk? I have to admit that I use two additional disks for video editing.Lucky
