Hi All,Maybe someone can give me an answer.....I have installed XP Pro (Clean) ever since I have done the install I have had problems with FS 2002 and my S/B Live Platinum. I have a Logitech 4 sat. speakers 1 woofer speaker system. I had no problem with Win ME.Now when I start FS 2002 the system changes the settings from 4 speakers to 2 spearkers. Now this does not happen all the time. Just about 8 out of 10 times. I have tried old drivers and new XP drivers and I still get the same thing. I am at a lost....I feel very strong that it is a driver problem. Not sure what to do.....???System Specs.....2.4 intel chip512 DDR memoryAsus P4B533 M/BS/B Live Platinum CardG-Force 4 Ti 4400 Nvidia 128M Video CardThanks!Eddie

Eddie,Did some searching for you and found a couple of things you may want to try....If both the EAX Console and Speaker Settings are open at the same time, the presets linked to the various speaker configurations will be displayed correctly when changing the speaker configuration mode. However, if the EAX Console is closed when changing the speaker configurations, the EAX preset that is displayed as selected upon launching the EAX Console will be for the previous speaker configuration and not the current one. This behavior is the desired feature of the EAX Console. It was defined that the EAX Console, upon closing, will remember the last saved preset and category. Hence any changes after the EAX Console has been closed will not be updated. On the re-launch of the EAX Console, the last saved settings will be restored. Another feature of the EAX Console implemented is to remember the last saved preset of each and every Category. Hence if you change from Environment to Studio, the last saved preset of the Studio Category will be restored, and vice versa.Backup your system Verify that your system meets the minimum requirements! Disable virus Scanner software and other non-essential background applications For Windows related problems, check the Microsoft Support pages. If your new Creative product is a PCI card, try the card in different slots. Temporarily detach all devices that are not essential (such as USB scanners, printers, etc, telephone lines) while troubleshooting your problem. Detach/re-attach all cables connected to the product you are troubleshooting. Update all system critical drivers (i.e. Chipset). Check your Device Manager to ensure there are no obvious conlicts. Run Windows in Safe Mode to check device manager for "rogue" - and duplicate - entries. If there are any, remove them. If the PC only boots in Safe Mode, reboot, return to the Windows Boot Menu (Press F8 during boot-up), and choose Step-by-Step Confirmation. This will load one driver at a time, therefore allowing you to pinpoint the possible source of the proble Update product drivers Update the system BIOS. One other thing to try is going in and uninstalling the device. Reboot and cancel out any auto install of drivers from XP as it's booting up. Than go back in and manually reinstall the old drivers off of your product CD if you have it.Sorry couldn't be more help :(Bobby
