July 8, 200322 yr I am looking to pickup a new system soon to replace my old but faithfull PIII 450. I am leaning toward a Dell Dimension 4600 / 2.8Ghz with HT Technology system with 512 MB ram. I have 2 questions.1) Is anyone using this system to run FS2002 and if so, any comments?2) The current choice at Dell for 128 MB Video cards areGeForce FX5200ATI DDR 9800Any comments on either of these cards? I have only used ATI so I am not familiar with the GeForce card. The difference for the ATI card is about 80 dollas more. Just wondering if it is worth it. I would look at a true gaming system from say Alienware but those systems are a little more then I want to spend. Any thoughts or comments would be most appreciated. Thanks,Mark

I personally don't like Dells proprietary nature or the ton of "Cra*" they load on the machines but not a bad choice.>>2) The current choice at Dell for 128 MB Video cards are>>GeForce FX5200>ATI DDR 9800>>Any comments on either of these cards? There is no choice. 9800 is the only card you should consider. Period, Dot end of story LOL>>I would look at a true gaming system from say Alienware but>those systems are a little more then I want to spend.Very nice machines at a very nice price. Do you have any experience w working on a machine that would allow you to build your own? >>Any thoughts or comments would be most appreciated. >>Thanks,>>MarkHope this helps :)Bobby
July 8, 200322 yr Bobby, Thanks for the input. I do have some experience putting systems together so I could probably look in that direction as well. If I do decide to get the Dell, I will get the ATI 9800. Want to wait a little longer, seems like every month you wait, you get a little better technology for the same money. Happy Flying,Mark
July 8, 200322 yr LOL @ ALIENWARE!!You can build a computer yourself and save 1/2 the money that you spend on their products :-rollAnyways, as Bobby said above, the 9800 Pro is what you want.A 5200 is sooo bad, it's the worst out there :(
July 9, 200322 yr I have just come across a PC Vendor on the net called:CYBERPOWER INC. Looks like you can get some nice AMD and Intel Systems from them for competitive prices and some of thier systems seem to be endorsed by ZD Net but I have never heard of them before.Anyone have any experience with this vendor? Thanks,Mark
