July 10, 200322 yr Just installed my TI-4200, upgraded from the G2GTS. Impressed so far, what are you other folks using for drivers & settings through Riva Tuner for example. The driver it came with is the 4072. Thanks in advanced for any suggestions!
July 10, 200322 yr I've always tuned my NVidia with a LOD of -.5, and aniso enabled (use trilinear filtering in FS2002 in conjunction with it). You'll have more options than I have with my GeForce 2--you can set the aniso to higher settings, as an example, as well as the AA. But I suggest you set the aniso about midrange, and start with a low AA setting (1.41x1.41 or 2x2). With these settings, my images are very clear and sharp--can't even imagine how good yours will look. The 4200 is hard to come by--but I think it's a hidden value and better than the Nvidia 5xxx cards out there considering price/performance...

Thanks in advanced for any suggestions!LOD of -0.3 much more than that (more to the negative) and it will become inefficient for the card and you will begin to see texture shimmering, 4xaniso is a must but Aniso effectively kills the fillrate of GF4 cards so don't expect much if you push 8xAF.AA depends on the screen res you like and the performance vs quality battle that will ensue, I run 1600x1200x32 at quincunx or 2xAA on a Samsung-19", somtimes I'll push the 4sX-AA for those special occasions. :)
