Simply the ***BEST*** official Nvidia driver set...EVER!

Featured Replies

I have a Gforce-2 and have used each official and non-official release of Nvidia drivers since owning it.To date, the Nvidia 44.03's give me such sharp and incredible detail--no blurries now..EVER, as well as such fast and instant banking performance. No stutters, no hesitation. This has never been the case before this driver version.I mean Faaaaaaaaaaaaast! The best yet. I see that if you stick it out with your vid card, the drivers finally will mature to it and bring out all the rendering and performance power that was always there in the chip. The 44.03 driver package off of Nvidia's site does that in force! If you are running with a lower driver (suite)version...trust me...you are not getting what your chip can put out and is truly capable of. Think not? Do a proper uninstall and reinstall with this set and sit back and be amazed.By the way...the rendering of the clouds sets....WOW!Cheers!Mitch R.

Been wondering about the 44.03's vs. FS2002 performance. For those who remember hearing that the 44.67's are out, those are not Nvidia's release, but I believe one of what I call the "tweaked" driver sets. Nvidia may have coded the components, but a third party has taken a shot and modified things a bit.I don't have an issue with that, but I do believe the third party sets shouldn't try to fit themselves into Nvidia's release numbering scheme. Makes people believe that they are getting something compiled or sponsored by Nvidia, when they're not... Anyway, I thought I'd mention this if folks are confused as to why Mitch refers to the 44.03's as Nvidia's latest.

I downloaded the 44.04 for my GeForce 4 MX card and well I don't see any different in performance or graphics.

I tired the 44.03 with my GeForce 4, was the same as the 43.45, I had before the 43.00, so I installed those and wow! They have given me the best quailty and performance then any of the other drivers. It all depends on your system, every system has different luck with different drivers.

Hi John!Good thing to point out...that the 44.03's are the Nvidia-sanctioned release from off their OWN website. Right!!After stating that, all I can say is that I have **NEVER** seen such performance and clarity from my vid card until the 44.03's.As you pointed out---I am ONLY recommending the 44.03 set when downloaded off of the Nvidia site. Anything else, I can't speak for.I was actually close to picking up the ATI 9800, but honestly John, with the crisp and sharp detail I have at ALL elevations---with the clouds so wispy, that they look absolutely real---textures sharp and non-bleeding---I can't see any longer putting out the financial outlay, for what the visual payback will produce above what I am now gleaning from the '2'.The GeFORCE-2 chip had tricks yet....but just needed the lid be taken off of the top...LOL!The 44.03's are worth their weight in GOLD!The Gforce-2 stays! One **HELLOFVA** happy simmer!Cheers!Mitch R.

I agree about the 44.03s, simply the best. I haven't tried out the latest offering from nVidia, but it seems that there is precious little 'noise' about them in the forums I frequent....meaning they probably aren't much good =)

I was using the latest Omega drivers set to "Quality" when I found this article http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,3973,1188167,00.aspNow I use the detonator 44.67 drivers. Here is a quote from the article "The drivers are legitimate, final (non-beta) Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) certified versions, the official stated."I have a GeForce 4 Ti4200 8X AGP and until I downloaded these drivers I could not use anti-aliasing because my framerates were cut in half. Now I have anti-aliasing on in FlightSim and aniostropic filtering at 4x. I am sticking with the 44.67
