Hi all, I have what used to be a top of the line system - P3-600, ASUSMB, 384 Mb RAM Voodoo 3-3000 AGP Video, Soundblaster Live, 13 GB HDD, MS 98/SE OS. At the present time, it makes me happy, all except the video. Seeing as 3D-FX is gone, and I cannot go with a new system right now, what do the experts suggest as a replacement. My main interest if FS2k2 and I would like to be able to dispense with mip-mapping in the aircraft textures to get some sharper textures. I have read through a lot of postings on this form - but all that did was confuse me more :-) Thanks for any assistance.

Fred; From what I have read in the past on this forum, and in others, a Nvidia G Force 2 will give as much performance as your CPU is capable of delivering to it. If you plan on upgrading to a P4 2GHz processor in the future a G Force 4 or 5 series would be useful but it would be overkill for what you have now. I have a PIII 933MHz and have a high end G Force 2 64meg memory card and haven't upgraded from it because a G Force 3 series card wouldn't help my video that much.Hope this helps some.RegardsBill
