CH Yoke and pedals wearing out?

Featured Replies

Hi all,I've had the CH Pro Pedals and CH Yoke (all USB) for about 1.5 years now, and they were working fine when I left for vacation a month ago, now I come back and the reverse mapped mixture control likes to jump around (not physically) , so the reverse levels will really change a lot. The pedals are also losing numbers in FSUIPC, along with the ailerons and elevators. They used to be at say 16500 in the calibration tab, now they're at 15300. Is this just normal wear, or is there something I can do to help? Or does it just need some breaking in?Thanks :-)

Hi Greg,I have had my CH Pro Pedals for at least 8 years, and they are still working, though they are gameport. I did have to take them apart a while back and clean all of the dust out of them, and re lubricated the rollers. It might help to just work the levers and pedals back and forth, and take the vacumn cleaner to them. They ought to be fine for quite a few years more.Good luck :)Den

I thought they'd last, I'll give that a try for sure.

Well the reverse works after a good dusting and recalibration, but for some reason the spoilers don't always extend on landing, and the speedbrake status doesn't show on the DF panel.

Is your yoke still under warranty? I have had good results spraying a bit of TV tuner cleaner into the pot or switch that was giving me a problem, but I did that because the thing was out of warranty. I guess they are buttons that are still not working?Den

I believe it is, but it seems that it's working again. Must be a DF software issue.

Excellent :)Den
