Two Monitors

Featured Replies

Can two monitors be run from a Radeon 9800 Pro using the AGP port for the main monitor and the DVI port with an adapter for the second monitor? Or must I use an additional PCI card ?Thanks for any help

One of my friends has a Radeon 9000 and does dual monitors. He says its not difficult and it is possible to run 2 CRT monitors using 1 VGA and 1 using the DVI adapter. You can turn on the 2nd monitor using the ATI control panel.I have a Radeon 7200 VIVO and I am able to use a TV as a 2nd monitor if I wanted, using the same method, but using a RCA composite cable.

This is very easy to do and I have been using dual monitors for about 1.5 years now. I use a Radeon 9500 with dual heads. One monitor uses the VGA head and the other uses the DVI head using an adaptor. I have a generic Radeon board and it came with the DVI to VGA connector. Click below for a screen shot I just took looking at my desktop. The monitor on the left is set at a higher resolution then the one on the right, hence the black gap on the lower righ hand side of the picture.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=vie...t&file_id=43128If that doesn't work, try this link and click on the attachment file...http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=90967&page=It is really easy to set up two monitors. All you really have to do is right click on your desktop and enable the second monitor.Take care,-CJ Starr
