October 14, 200322 yr Hi everyone!!:-wave I had built my self a PC back in July, just to run FS9. Thing is, I had to do sort of a step-build because I couldn't really afford the exact parts that I wanted at the time. Now I am looking to finish my step-build and upgrade my PC.Here's what I have so far:Motherboard: GigaByte GA-8PE667 (supports intel P4 3.0Ghz and beyond)Memory : Crucial PC2700 512MB (1 stick, mobo max: 3GB)Processor : P4 2.4Ghz 533 FSBGraphics : ATI RADEON 9700 AIW Pro 128MBHard Drive : (1) 60GB WesternDigital 7200rpmPower : 420w That's more or less what I can remember (i'm at work. I am looking to get a new motherboard, more memory, faster processor, and an additional hard drive. A motherboard that supports both ATA and Serial ATA would be nice (smaller cables for second hard drive.Any recomendations?
October 14, 200322 yr Looks like a great system. The only thing that I would recomend would be a second identical stick of the Crucial PC2700 512MB RAM. This will allow you to take advantage of the Dual DDR400 mode of your motherboard and essentially double your memory bandwidth. Other then that, looks good, take care.-CJ Starr
