Let me begin by asking this.....What are your exact system specs? It's kind of like telling your mechanic your cars making this noise, but he doesn't know what you drive. At first glance it looks like a driver issue but more detailed hardware lists would help us narrow it down.Bobby

my specification is Pentium 4 2.85Ghz512DDR RAMGeforce FX5600 256DDR 8XAGPP4 Mainboard L4S8A2 MOBO

Well I'll give it a try.....Your CPU is hopefully a 2.8 P4 as their is no 2.85.The motherboard you are running is from a Company called ECSUSA. They manufacture very inexspensive motherboards for AMD and Pentium CPU's. They use the SIS chipset. Not the best chipset for the P4 but will work when set up with the correct chipset and VC drivers.Take a stroll over to WWW.ECSUSA.COM When there, click on support and than Motherboards. Download the latest Chipset drivers, IDE drivers. Head over to WWW.NVIDIA.COM and download the latest set of Drivers. If your not that well versed in Bios updating you may want someone who is familiar with updating your bios to do that task for you. You can install the IDE and Chipset and Video Card drivers yourself. Also, try running the card in AGP 4X mode from within the Bios and see if that helps.Start with this and keep me posted.Bobby

hi there i tried all those nothing worked at all ive gone back to 4x and its okay but my frame rates are the worse ever i think iam going to get a new card cuz it sounds like soemthing has blown on this one would u recomend any cards i was thinking perhaps one of these 4 which would out perform my Geforce FX5600 256DDR 8XAGP1.Radeon G9600PRO 8xAGP 128MB DDR VGA/DVI/S-Video/Hardware2.Asus ATI Radeon 9600XT/TVD 128ddr3.Hercules 3D Prophet 9600 Pro 128MB DDR 4.Asus V9560VS GeForce FX 5600 VideoSuite 128MB

Sure can.....1,3,2 in that order. Remember when switching from an Nvidia card to an ATI you need to make sure that all traces of the Nv drivers are gone from your system. Use either a Det Destroyer program or, the best way, a fresh install of your OS.Bobby

thanks very much :-) could u add me to msn messenger i would love to speak to you if your on my msn is [email protected] speak to you on there !:)
