CH Yoke

Featured Replies

Hi,I am thinking of purchasing a CH Yoke for FS9, question i have is am i correct in saying that it's not force feedback? and if not is there any sort of builtin 'resistance' in the movement or does it just sort of flop about?Cheers

In a way there is force feedback because the more you pull back as when you are trying to do a power on stall, the harder it is to pull. This is not truly force feedback coming from inputs from the program but increased resistance from within the device itself. It does not flop about - actually is very realistic feeling. In fact, the 172 I did my commercial training in 32 years ago did have a yoke that "flopped about" and was really quite troublesome until the airplane was airborne.Since I have no experience with competing products, I cannot comment about how CH is compared to others, but I can say you would have to go a long way to get a better piece of equipment to use. They have a good warranty, the product is solidly built and easy to connect. I got the USB model with the Mixture, RPM and MP levers on the body and the Rudder Pedal unit, use them every day and have not had one second of trouble with either. In fact, when they come out with the new multi engine throttle quadrant unit next year, I am going to be close to the front of the line for it.
