January 12, 200422 yr Another quick question.I'm getting a lot of fan noise all of a sudden from the AGP fan on my Gigabyte mobo. I can hear it "spin" up and then chatter, sort of like there was no oil or something in it, lol. Are these replaceable? Or, how should I fix it?Thanks,
January 12, 200422 yr First try giving it a good cleaning with canned air, (CAUTION...avoid static when using canned air)If that does not work you may have to replace the fan. This I would take to someone who knows what they are doing.Sounds like a good excuse to upgrade your card.;-)

There is a better static free way to clean dust from your computer. Get a vacuum with a long hose and a narrow nosel for edge cleaning. Take a ball point pen and remove the top and the ink cartredge and tape it onto the end of the narrow nosel. I find this works best because it removes the dust rather than just blowing it around.
