i was wonderong to operate FS2002 do i need to have the cd in the drive or does it run without it? i think i read it doesn't somewhere that it doesnt require it but im not sure

If you do a full install you don't need the cd to run the game. It doesn't require the CD to start as FS2000 did without the "no cd" patch. However, if you do a full install, you won't need the CD.
