February 3, 200422 yr Howdy Gang,I've installed the new Omega drivers for my ATI Radeon 9800 256 Pro, and so far really like them - a LOT! One thing I'm getting now that has be slightly baffled, is the screen at startup suggesting I turn off my TV display options if I don't have a TV attached. I don't, so I punched the button that says to Enable or Disable TV Display, and it tells me what to do from there. Here's a screenie of the first message.http://home.cogeco.ca/~gdfs01/TVmssg1.jpgNo sweat, until I get to the Advanced Properties and pull up my Display tab. As you can see from the next screenie, my TV is not attached, and the "Enable/Disable" button is greyed out (top left corner of the TV section).http://home.cogeco.ca/~gdfs01/TVmssg2.jpgThis probably isn't a big deal or anything, but the opening screen (1st screenie) says that I can show this window at startup whenever I have the TV display enabled. THAT baffles me, because it looks like it is saying that I have the TV display enabled (which I'd like to turn off if I do), but then it appears as though it is either not enabled, OR can't be accessed from where they tell you to do this. Does anyone know if there is another way to find out if this function is in fact, enabled, and if so, how to disable it? If it isn't, I assume that I can just deselect the box that says to show that window on startup? Thanks guys,Glenn
February 3, 200422 yr Just ignore the message, this happens to me whenever I install a new driver. You'll be safe disabling the message on startup. The TV display option can only be enabled when the TV is attached. Hope this answers your question. :-)
February 3, 200422 yr Yeah, I used to get the same message when I first installed my AIW card too.You can see by your "display" menu that the TV is not attached and enabled :-)
February 4, 200422 yr OK, that's what I thought, but I was afraid there might be a switch that I couldn't see, and it was robbing me of some resources (not that FS9 needs much :-hah). Appreciate the confirmation.
