February 4, 200422 yr Hi guys, Im at the end of my rope, maybe you can save me.My system will not shut down properly anymore. (XP) If I choose the normal shutdown method it goes through the process and right when it should shut of, it reboots. If I hold in my power button in,it shuts down fine, but I think this method doesnt save my settings.? Someone said the Power supply was going bad, but it just doesnt seem like it to me.my mobo is a microstar MS-6340ver5 running a AMD Athlon XP 1700+ 1.4GHzI reinstalled XP hoping it would solve my problems. not.last thing I can think of is a BIOS flash, but I dont want to unless i think it will work.any advice? Im just hoping to get this system back to normal until I get the new system together. Im going through FS withdrawl and I cant handle a few more months without it.thanksjoe
