Help with dual display

Featured Replies

HI I have been running 2 x 17 inc flat screens on a GF Ti4600 in wide view mode (pilots view across two monitors, I even built a custom panel in order to get rid of that streched look) , stupidly I thought I would buy an Asus 98000XT.I can't find a control in the screen setting menu of the card to allow me get my dualview back, I can extend the desk top, which allows a seperate window into the second screen, but if I try and resize the FS window across it, FS just distorts.Does anyone know if you can do this with these cards or is it just Nvidia that have the software inbuilt? Thanks NigelAbit AN7Ath 3200Xp3x512 x XMS proAsus 9800XT 250Windows XP

I don't believe ATI supports that wide-view thing that nvidia has. I have a 9700 pro and I usually plop the 2D standard cockpit with the front outside view on the main screen and open a VC view out my left monitor and align it up so its looking out the left front window. The effect is quite nice once you get quick at lining the views up. this is in maximized WINDOWED mode. It's worth a try to see how it works. PMDG or even the posky 757 with it's VC are good places to try this. __Josh

Nigel,There is a good article over on the Tom's Harware site that delves into the differences between the ATI and nvidia when it comes to Multi-Monitors. It may shed some light on your difficulty. Let us know how you get on.CheersMike
