I have an Athlon XP 2000+ PC with integrated graphics and a nForce motherboard and chipset driver. Will this chipset cause a conflict if I install a Radeon 9700 Pro graphics card (assuming I remove the Nvidia remnants using a program like NFR?)

Nope, no problems. The nForce boards LOVE the ATI cards. I installed a 9700 Pro last April with no problems, and just went to a 9800 Pro this week. It's already overclocked about 23% and is stable as a rock.
