Getting Virtual Pilot Pro & pedals to work in FS9 on XP...

Featured Replies

Hi Folks:I got a new mobo (SOYO...P4VGM) and it has onboard sound but no game port.I disabled it in the BIOS, and installed a plain sound card WITH a game port. Hooked up the yoke & pedals to it, and installed drivers (from CH). During the install, an error message said that the installation was cancelled. In a state of desperation, tried hooking up the devices to a USB port. XP found "a device" but said that it probably wouldn't work, or might 'upset the applecart', as it were. Still, nothing was found in the GAME PORTS in CONTROL PANEL. I tried choosing a sort of generic yoke in the listing, when I clicked on ADD. Nothing happened.Oddly enough, I had both devices working in XP on another different motherboard. OF course, I don't remember how I did it. Does anyone know if these two devices will work together on this new mobo, using XP Pro? I got a back panel game port with the cable & connector (game port) but forgot that there was no game port riser on the board.I'm getting a little edgy...haven't had a flight in 6 days now.Any assistance, ideas, etc would be most welcome. Thanks all, for your time.Happy simming!Regards,J (Neil)[email protected]
