September 18, 200421 yr One time after I selected my aircraft and click ok the screen blacked out and my computer crashed. I had to reboot my computer. I tried to recreate the problem but can't. I'm using the 61.77 drivers and have an Enermax 431 watt power supply. I don't know if my power supply is good enough for the PNY 6800 Ultra and I don't really want to buy a new one if the power supply is the problem.

September 19, 200421 yr PNY says 350W is required but other manufactures require 480W. Should I buy the Antec True550 power supply?
September 19, 200421 yr "PNY says 350W is required but other manufactures require 480W."I'm not saying I don't believe you, but I do find it curious that other manufacturers, and especially nVidia themselves, recommend 480W.Can't tell you if you should buy a new power supply. That's a call only you can make... but I can't see that it would be a bad idea to at least test with the PSU rating recommended by most makers and nVidia.Good luck,GregP.S. Just thought of something... does the card require two 4 pin molex connectors? If so, then I would disregard PNY's recommendation of 350W.Edit: Ahhh, I made this post and then went over to DriverHeaven to lurk, and look what I found: http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/PNY/index.htm .The card does indeed require two 4 pin connectors. If you believe you'd like to try a new PSU the Antec 550W wouldn't be a bad choice. I own one and was satisfied with it. But if you read the article at DH I linked to you'll find they used this PSU in their test system: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/pro...f0a17819455bb2f . The Ultra X-Connect would be a far better choice, and cheaper too!! It's power delivery is much, much cleaner and stable than the Antec's. It is a superior piece of equipment. I've had mine 3 weeks or so and I continue to be amazed how smooth and steady all rails are while watching them in MBM. It amazes me!!
September 19, 200421 yr i pretty sure nvidia lowered the requirement for the ultra from 480w to 350w a while ago
September 19, 200421 yr "i pretty sure nvidia lowered the requirement for the ultra from 480w to 350w a while ago"That would be great! Lot's of current and future owners of the card would like that alot. Could you post an official link to this info? Thanks,Greg

September 21, 200421 yr Thanks Paul. Haven't been paying enough attention to nVidia news lately (does it show?).Cheers,Greg
