CH USB Pro Yoke & pedals USB 1.1 or 2.0 ?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the CH Products Pro Yoke & Pro pedals operate as USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 device ?AND if they are indeed made as USB 2.0 units, would they operate okay using a USB 1 hub in a USB 2.0 port ? Would they really need more than 12 mbps ?Since CH doesn't even mention the USB version I figure they must not be 2.0 to start with.Anyone know ? I may have missed this info somewhere, but I can't find it listed. Thanks,

Question was bugging me so I thought I would just give CH a call to find out... after 15 mins on hold I gave up.

It works in both 1.1 and 2.0.I use them in the 2.0 port.

>It works in both 1.1 and 2.0.>I use them in the 2.0 port. Thanks for the reply..I was guessing they MUST work on 1.1 or they would have to mention it to customers up front :-) You would think.. At least that means they would work with older "hubs"But does anyone know if they ARE built as USB 2.0 units capable of taking full advantage of 2.0 ports and running at 480 mbps?

I'm pretty sure it's 1.1 at least mine is.

>I'm pretty sure it's 1.1 at least mine is.Thanks again.... but where did you see it listed as manufactured with 1.1 setup ? I can't find that anywhere. If you mean because it works plugged into your 1.1 computer, all USB 2.0 products will drop down to the old 1.1 I believe, but just not give the performance of 2.0

When you plug in a 2.0 USB device in a 1.1 port a window will pop up and it would say, this device will perform faster in a USB 2.0 port or this USB port is not a HI speed USB port.

>When you plug in a 2.0 USB device in a 1.1 port a window will>pop up and it would say, this device will perform faster in a>USB 2.0 port or this USB port is not a HI speed USB port.HEY... thanks for that, so the CH USB Pro yoke and pedals DO NOT give you that warning so must be only 1.1 devices.Had never seen that pop up when using USB devices with Win98 running 1.1 ports and now have new system with WinXP and 2.0 ports (all 1.1 devices still)so guess I won't see it in the future either :-)I also have not noticed that WinXPpops up to tell you about plugging in a 1.1 device into a 2.0 port. That is.. I have not NOTICED it.... but can't really say that I've read the bubble fully when I've plugged something in as they remain plugged in for the duration. Thanks again, I'll watch it more closely to see what it tries to tell me when I plug a 1.1 into a 2.0 port...Hmmmm, I wonder what it tells you for a 1.1 hub in a 2.0 port ?? :-)THen I wonder if it does not say it for a 1.1 hub in a 2.0 port, what it would say if you plugged in a 2.0 device into the 1.1 hub that's plugged into a 2.0 port ? :-lolI have one of those around here somewhere, I'll try that first. But I have no 2.0 devices yet. Not until something breaks and gets replaced.
