December 30, 200421 yr Did a search, but didn't get a hit on this subject within the CH usb yoke posts here and in FS9 general topics...I can get the trim wheel (joy axis) to program without a problem but I can't seem to get enough action from it. WinXP calibration gives you a "test" for it, but not a "calibration" for it. FS9 does nothing for it either (as far as I can tell) Shame to waste a good feature and then also waste two other buttons to do the job.Anyone have the answer ?Why couldn't CH make this trim wheel just a bit larger so you could grasp it between you thumb and index finger to turn it ?? Better believe it will be larger after the warranty period expires :-) also the stops will be moved to allow more movement of the pot !Oh, might as well through the pedals into the mix as well....Still can't get the CH usb Pro Pedals to stay off the brakes either.. had it once and then lost it. Either one or both brakes wants to come on or stay on.Followed all the advise retrieved from "search" on THAT subject but still no luck. Just doesn't seem to want to increase the "Null" zone enough even at full settings. Also have been full range with the "sensitivity" levels. Now if I pull back on the pedals with my heels brakes will go off fully. I calibrated them while holding the pedals fully to the rear to take up the slack (so to speak) but that didn't do it either. Thanks for any help,
December 31, 200421 yr Well, now my toe brakes decided to lock 'em up altogether... disabled the USB pro Pedal toe brakes altogether and back to using button on the yoke. For now... must be an answer for this, the rest of you must have it working okay or you'd be posting with the same problem :-)Perhaps the pedals get better with wear and get a little slop in them like my previous non USB Pro Pedals did. Finally get my toe brakes and I'm forced back to a button ! :-newburn
January 1, 200521 yr Just for the record..REcalibrated the pedals in WinXP (again) but this time I held the unit in my lap and worked the pedals with my hands for better control..Before I even started the calibration window I held both pedals fully back, hard, along with the brake axis.THEN went to calibration start and made sure only one thing at a time moved at all...Also, when I went back to FS9 "sensitivity" settings and hit "default settings"Seems to work fine with brake lights out and brakes released when they should be..Tomorrow I'll see if I can fine tune them in "advanced" without it messing up again. Yeah... sure. Now about that elevator trim wheel on the yoke ? :-)
