Need Help w/settings on Radeon 9700

HiI need some help with getting my FS2002 working without getting stutters. My system specs are as follows:Pentium 4 2.8 ghz (Dell Computer)1 Gig RDRAM80 Gig Hard DriveRadeon 9700 w/ Catylist 2.4 driversViewsonic VX 800 LCD Monitor (1280X1024x32 resilution)Would like suggestions on what to put the menu settings on to get fluid results without the stutters ( all recommendations welcome)ThanksMatt

ShaneThis is what maybe is going on.. that amount of RAM is slowing it down, can you try degrading it to 512MB and see what happens? -Shane

I found stuttering was being caused on my system running the Folding@home program as a idle process.

You should be able to max settings. Use 4x AA and 16x Ansio. make sure to defrag. Download latest drivers (62xx). Lock fps at 25-30. Good luck

Blue; you should go over to the www.rage3d.com 9700 tech board and post your question there. Make sure you specify your motherboard type. There's been various complaints and cures for stuttering. Among them is to use the lastest drivers. Also, do a search over there. I've never had a problem with the CD driver version 6166 so I'm sticking with em'.
