June 30, 200520 yr Hey all, been wanting to upgrade my GeForce 5500 graphics card and saw a deal at Best Buy that seems to have turned out well. It isn't the ultimate I wanted but fit within my price and got me my son's birthday present as well. The are selling a GeForce 6600 256 AGP card for $199. This seems a bit expensive by itself but they throw in a computer game of your choice (up to $49.95) for free. Got the kid the game and have a very good stable card for my growing system. I'd been aiming for the 6600GT but the cheapest I could find it without a rebate hassle was around $170. I immediately saw a frame rate increase of about 30% and am able to enable anti-aliasing. So far I'm very pleased.
