x45, please help

Featured Replies

Im having a problem with the throttle of my saitek X45 joystick. When I start up my PC the thottle works fine but soon after I start a flight in FS 9.1 it stops working properly and only registers up to a maximum of about 75-90%. It works perfectly well below that range but it will not go above it.It also slightly effects the rudder, limiting its range.I can fix this by unplugging the USB connection and plugging it straight back in, the throttle then works over the full range again - but I cant do this when in the middle of a game because I would have to restart FS. and it happens every 10 seconds anyway.I have the latest drivers installed and Im using the saitek control panel.I cant use Flight Sim till I fix this :(Any Ideas what could be causing it ?thanks.

I'm sending you a profile for the X45 that I am using, I have not had any problems. Hope this helps.

thanks very much I will try this.unfortunately the problem also happens when i have no profile loaded though

I just tried my system with no profile loaded. As far as the basic functions, elevator, rudder, etc. all worked ok. Suggest you check in fs9 OPTIONS-CONTROLS-ASSIGNMENTS and make sure everthing is set there the way you want it. TRY resetting to defaults. If thats no help go to CONTROL PANEL-GAME CONTROLERS-PROPERTIES-ABOUT and check the driver version numbers. Mine are Driver 4.3.3.1727 and Software version 4.3.3.1727
