Hi, I just got a Radeon X700Pro AGP card tonight. All my racing games run great, and flight sim looks great and runs nice and smooth... that is until it locked up. The display locked, the sound kept going, although stopped responding to throttle imputs. Also, CTRL+ALT+DEL would cause the sound to stop as if it went to desk top, but FS remained on the monitor. Whats the deal with? Anyone have any clues? Second, my CH throttle quadrant is giving me some issues too. The number one mixture lever does not give any imput. Setting it as a control works, but switching over to FSUIPC, the data is at 0 and doesnt respond to movement. Also, in the game control screen, the graphical bar graph responds accordingly, yet it does not work within FS. Baffled on this one as well. Anyone with any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Ian,Unfortunately, I can't help with your throttle quadrant issue but on the graphics card issue, it sounds to me like a driver problem. Please make sure that you have fully uninstalled your previous driver (especially true if you used to use a graphics chip from a manufacturer other than ATI e.g. NVIDIA) and that you have successfully installed the newest ATI driver from the ATI Web site. I believe the latest Catalyst version is 5.8.Even if you are upgrading from an older Catalyst to a newer Catalyst version, you want to uninstall your previous version first before installing the new one. This ensures that all files from the new driver version are installed and therefore, there won't be any version conflicts.Failing that, you may have to install new motherboard AGP drivers as well. What motherboard (and therefore, which chipset) are you using?Hope this helps.Edwin

It is a ASUS P4P800-VM mobo AGP8x. I upgraded from a Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB to this X700 Pro 256MB. FS runs better, but then hangs... it is really odd because it was working fine with the 9800 pro. I did uninstall the drivers and update them when I installed the card. My other games run great (i am addicted to the GT Legends Demo). Why FS locks is beyond me.
