Why are my frames so low!?

Featured Replies

Hi AllQuite frustrated, just spent

Hi obk,Two things:First, I'd lock my framerates even lower. I have mine at 40FPS although I'm considering lowering it to around 35FPS. I know some people have it even lower.Second, what scenery is it? If it's SimFlyers, then there's nothing that can be done. It's the way the scenery was designed - nothing to do with your hardware. If you need more help, you'll need to give me more details like which driver version you're using, what resolution you're using and what are your settings (e.g. AA, AF and other FS9 settings).Hope this helps.Edwin

Hi EdwinThe scenery is Heathrow Pro by UK2000. I have been modyfying options on the graphics card all night, I'm at work now so don't know where I left off.I initially had the drivers installed which were provided on the CD however I downloaded the latest ones off the internet, no change.Cheers[br]obklogo.gif[/img]

I recall trying out the demo version of that scenery a few months back when I had an ATI X800XT & thought then that the scenery was a framerate hog even with little AI traffic. With all your AI running, even with a decent graphics card I don't doubt you'll see poor framerates with that scenery.Does FS9 run any better when you move away from that Heathrow scenery or fly completly elsewhere ?

Basically, I'm not seeing any improvement what so ever on top of what I used to have...the ATI X600, no matter where I go.Selling card now anyway!Cheers[br]obklogo.gif[/img]
