Flickering with GForce 6600 in Full Screen Mode

Featured Replies

I just had a GForce 6600 256MB card installed. I get flickering in the various screens as FS9 loads. I also SOMETIMES get flickering when in full windows mode. The flickering is in the form of a white line at the very top of the screen, and the lines flickers. There is no such problem when in the windows mode.Presently I have the card Antialising (AA) set at 4x, and Aristophic flitering (AL) at 8x in the card. I have the AA shut off in FS9.I am not familiar with Nvidia cards. I would appreciate suggestions as to what performance settings I should have in the card with a powerful system.A friend suggested that I set the card to "Application Control" for both AA and AL, and check the AA box in FS9. Do you agree? Also, what settings other settings are best in the card (Texture preference, MipMap Detail etc.) considering use in a powerful systemPentium IV 3.06GHZ2 GB SDRAM200 GB hard drive256 MB Nvidia GForce 6600 graphics cardThanksStanner

I forgot to state that I have Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2 installed.Stanner

Well that seems to fix most of my issues. If you are always in Full Screen mode, then you can leave Antialiasing on the card to application controlled, which seems to be the culprit of many Nvidia problems. Turn on AA within FS, but this will only work in Full Screen. FS will not antialias in Windows Mode. I am still working with my artifact issues, and I have had this problem come up. I guess there is a lot of you guys out there flying in full screen, but you can't undock popup windows in that mode so I am still working on it. If anyone else has more info please pass along what you got.Jim
