sound issues :(...

Featured Replies

Hello all,I have made some changes to my pc last month, some new zalman fans,a new dvd writer and stuff.Anyway then I had a format and then reinstalled xp.After then,I do not know why,but whenever I want to record a video using fraps, the recorded video's sound is highly distorted, noisy and very very bad.I can't even take it for 3-4 seconds to hear it.Anyway this same problem also occurs with audio cds too. They sound very bad in windows media player too.Tried many other players but the same.Well for instance, after the dvd writer plugged in to my system, whenever I wanted to watch videos, they had no sound, until I installed the AC3 filter.Well there might be some problem with the codecs.I don't know and I can't solve either. This is driving me mad.For both fraps videos and audio cds,wmp has this thing below, which never appears for anything else :http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/692/med...dproblem4so.jpgI right clicked this image then clicked properties during cd playback, and in properties it says this for audio codec : Morgan Stream Switcher I don't know what is wrong but please,Can you please help me ? :(Thank you in advance.Bugra

Playing with the sound slider mixer and pulling it down fixed the problem. Also removing that codec helped audio cds to play ok now.So everything's solved. Thanks all.
