HELP ! FS9 freezes :(

Featured Replies

Hey guys,I've just installed a new copy of windows XP home edition, after this, I downloaded the latest drivers for my ATI 9800PRO on ati's website and I was really happy with them (CATALYST 6.2) but after some minutes flying my system freezed up after I restarted my pc I proceeded to open FS and after some minutes it freezed up again and then I thought it might have been the drivers I installed, tried the omega 6.2 from guru3d and the samething happened, so I think its not because of the drivers, not idea what could be wrong . Any help its really appreciated guys! Thanks!*the problem its only when im using FS9!sys specs:P4 3.0512mb ram120gbATI 9800 PROWin XP

Hi Pu, there have been a couple of reports about v.6.2 and malfunctioning 9800pros. Here are a couple of links from the other Avsim hardware forum: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...14281&mode=fullhttp://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...14312&mode=fullhttp://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...14284&mode=fullFWIW, the 9800pro drivers which lastest longest on my system were the 5.3 and 5.9. Good luck and kind regards Jaap PS, you might want to give your FlyTendo another 512MB of RAM? Just and idea... :-)

Does your graphis card have a fan?...is it turning to keep the chip cool?...that was my issue with my old Gforce 5900.IGO
