Help with new comp...

Hi all,I just upgraded my P4 3.0 to an Athlon 4600+ X2. I already have a PNY 6800 GT. I have a gig of RAM, and a SATA RAID 0 drive. The motherboard is a Gigabyte 939-K8 something- It's an 8X AGP board. I think the chipset is ULI.I'm trying to "optimize" my system, so I bought 3D Mark 06 so I could compare against others. Now, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my scores seem low (definately!) compared to other users. For example, I am only getting 2600 when other users with identical setups are getting 3000.I am using the latest drivers (81.98?). Pretty much everything else is stock. If I go to Tom's hardware, in their CPU charts, they list my processor getting a 3Dmark 05 score of 6500. I did manage 5999 but that is still low compared to them.My 3D score is 5100 or so.On 3D mark 06, my CPU score seems right on, but my video card IN EVERY COMPARISON is 20% slower than competitors. What BIOS settings, driver settings, etc. could I need?To sum it up, my video card scores are always lower, and my CPU scores are sometimes even, usually lower. Gurus please help!!! I am totally out of the loop with the newer gaming hardware- My head is usually buried in Visual Studio.

Hi Christian, a couple of ULi users (jmoore and PLazarus) posted in this thread in the other MSFS hardware forum: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...14488&mode=fullMaybe they can give you answers? Good luck and kind regards Jaap
