Any one knows this?RickPent 4 3.0ht 2048mb asus p4c800 deluxehd 200gb maxtor maxtor 7200 rpmclub3d 1950 pro agp 25621"IIyama crt19" relisys crtwin xp sp2 CH yoke + pedals + throttle Quadrant+ 1dell 1hp laptop for asv6.5+GePro etcPmdg73/74Pax/F B1900c/d Lds 767+ 1dell 1hp laptop for asv etc

Hi Rick,It depends how old your CPU is,more on that on the link below about some dated Prescott batches, when Intel started shipping the P4s years ago.http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/display/20040325151223.htmlIn any case, go here and download CPUID: http://www.cpuid.comFire it up and check the "Instructions" section, it will say there if yours does support EM64T, if its not listed there, your chip is one of the earlier batches where, Intel had disabled it for reasoning mentioned in the article above.Regards,

thanks, checked with cpu-z, no em64T, so no x64, anyhow I need to save for a new rig.RickPent 4 3.0ht 2048mb asus p4c800hd 200gb maxtor maxtor 7200 rpmclub3d 1950 pro agp 25621"IIyama crt19" relisys crtwin xp sp2 CH yoke + pedals + throttle Quadrant+ 1dell 1hp laptop for asv6.5+GePro etcPmdg73/74Pax/F B1900c/d Lds 767+ 1dell 1hp laptop for asv etc
