December 14, 200718 yr Hi all, I am thinking of going dual 512 PCI 2 GeForce 8800 cards on my new ASUS Striker Maximus Extreme MOBO. Are these new cards faster than the 768 PCI express 16 cards? December 15, 200718 yr Hello Jim,Test have shown that 2 GTs in SLI, are slightly faster than a single GTX, HOWEVERCouple of things, the performance outcome depends greatly on the resolution you use whilst gaming, the actual games you use and your wallet/future plans. What resolution do you use?Regards,

December 21, 200718 yr Hey Jim,This is just my POV, I'd opt for a single GTX, you can always add a GTX down the road when they get cheaper. You'll have more VRAM than two GTs, which should help when games start demanding more and more VRAM to cache their evergrowing texture sizes.Regards,
