June 27, 200223 yr First off, I would like to thank everyone for their input regarding my last post. I have a question/problem with oil rigs in FS2002. My helicopters keep sinking through the helipads and I get a building crash no matter what I try whenever I am sitting on the helipad (again this is for oil rigs only). Has anyone else had this problem? If not, can anyone offer any tips to possibly correct this? Robert
June 28, 200223 yr Where are the oil rigs in FS2002?? I understand your fraustration, I tried landing on Alcatraz Island in San Fransico and the chopper sank through the rocks, and it happens on certain buildings too, I wish some one could design an editable landing pad that the user could place wherever they wanted to land choppers.
June 28, 200223 yr The oil rigs Im referring to are downloadable ones. The AVSIM file library should have a few. Robert
June 28, 200223 yr Hi! Exactly which oil rig files are you using? The reason I ask is that I've just released my first scenery on the other site (brentv1.zip...blatent plug!) and am concerned if it's mine. I did have the same problem when I was designing them but thought I had resolved the issue. The problem was that I was creating macros with hardened landing surfaces, but these seemed to become unstable when I placed them using Airport, especially if I rotated them at all. The way I got around this was to make the standard macro without the landing surface, and add a helipad with the Airport option. This could be a similar problem if it is someone elses scenery, and I realise doesn't help you much! My suggestion would be to E-Mail the author, see if they can fix it.Alun
