July 22, 200223 yr New GMAX SA365 Dauphin and 10m terrain mesh of Central Park in NYC, just posted to AVSIM file library. Thought that other copter pilots out there would like to know! :-) :-)WayneN457WS
July 23, 200223 yr I downloaded the Dauphin today and she is a beaut! Flies nicely and looks terrific. On a side note, it is an SA-360 Dauphin 1, not the SA-365 Dauphin 2 (the aircraft.cfg file also lists this chopper as a Dauphin 2). Robert
July 24, 200223 yr I agree, it is a very smooth flying copter indeed! Most certainly a good trainer as you can land it with a bit of forward roll... working you way down to a full stop landing. It also seems to need much less forward pressure in cruise, making it easier on the wrists.
August 8, 200223 yr Hi Robert,I designed the Gmax SA.365C and it is indeed a twin-engined "SA.365C1 Dauphin 2". The SA.360 is a single engine version. The SA.365C was the first "Dauphin 2". The N3 is a Dauphin 2 as well but a lot of it is redesigned.Regards,Rotorhead.
